ALRT, Sam Silver, and Whiterosemoxie Collaborate on ‘Again’ Featuring Leap 96 and Yona, Released via TH3RD BRAIN Records

Following the success of their debut single ‘Back It Up’ in July, ALRT and Sam Silver continue to build momentum with their latest release, ‘Again,’ featuring Whiterosemoxie and Yona. This track marks the second single from their upcoming ‘Leap 96’ EP, which is set to drop on October 18th under the LA-based label TH3RD BRAIN Records.

‘Again’ delivers a pulsating liquid drum and bass backdrop, showcasing the complementary vocal talents of Yona and Whiterosemoxie. Their contrasting vocal styles—one male, one female—add a dynamic tension that mirrors the emotional intricacies of relationships. The track blends powerful lyrics with ethereal melodies, leading to a vibrant DnB drop that propels the listener into a genre-transcending auditory experience.

Yona, the 18-year-old French-American singer-songwriter, brings a unique mix of pop elements with touches of grunge, grime, and guitars to the track. Her deeply emotional and distinctive voice enhances the track, offering a perfect contrast to the energetic production.

American rapper Whiterosemoxie shares a personal connection to the track, stating, “When we recorded ‘Again’, I had just recently gone through a breakup, and constantly saw it rubbed in my face on social media. At the top of the year, I had found new love and wrote this song to express my cautionary attitude towards my new relationship. We were at the point where we could decide to be more than friends or hit the brakes. Knowing we both want more out of life than what we have now, it is very hard to imagine a successful relationship that also allows for us to achieve what we want. When we do this thing we both know we shouldn’t do, will you blame it all on me?”

Leap 96, the collaborative project between Sam Silver and ALRT, draws inspiration from the late 90s and early 2000s—a time when Garage and Drum and Bass began to make waves in the rave scene. Their music combines vocal-driven dance elements that cater to both uptempo and downtempo atmospheres. The project’s name, Leap 96, signifies the midpoint between Sam and ALRT’s birth years, which coincidentally is a leap year.

The sonic direction of Leap 96 reflects the duo’s diverse backgrounds—ALRT brings a wealth of experience from the old-school rave culture, while Sam Silver adds influences from modern garage, rap, and ethereal house. This fusion of styles creates a distinctive sound that seamlessly blends elements of garage, rap, DnB, and indie pop.

The collaboration between Sam Silver and ALRT began unexpectedly in a Hollywood, California studio, where ALRT co-founded with the renowned artist/producer JOYRYDE. What started as a casual writing session soon turned into an intense two-month co-production period, resulting in the creation of the four tracks featured on their upcoming EP, along with numerous other projects currently in the works.

Don’t miss out on ‘Again,’ and be sure to mark your calendars for the full ‘Leap 96’ EP release on October 18th!
