Release Promo Progressive House Hype Chart Week 19

The first week of May brings another strong crop of progressive house minded music. Featuring releases from ICONYC, Balkan Connection, Manual Music, Movement Recordings, Soundteller Records and more.

1. Andre Sobota – Altitude (Dmitry Molosh Remix) [ICONYC]

Highly touted Braziian progressive house artist Andre Sobota make his much anticipated return to John Johnson’s ICONYC this week. In a wide range of remixes Dmitry Molosh delivers another club smash much in line wit the Sudbeat sound. Crunchy, chuggy rhythms and electric sounds encased in a loved melodic wrap.

2. Namatjira – Secrets of an Unknown (Huminal Remix) [Balkan Connection]

Dutch artist Namatjira lands on Balkan Connection once again with a charming production entitled ‘Secrets of an Unknown’. Dutch duo Huminal take it in an entirely differetn direction with a broken beat, melodic interpretation that we can’t stop listening to.

3. Alessandro Diga – Grace’s Secret (Original Mix) [Manual Music]

The lead track from the prelude EP to Alessandro’s much anticipated ‘Figments Of My Imagination’ LP. Wondrous bass modulation, organic percussion and poignant stabs all wrapped up in a techno state of mind make for an amazing eight minute journey.

4. Danito & Athina – Everything Change (THe WHite SHadow Remix) [Movement Recordings]

Known for his distinctive sound French artist THe WHite SHadow radically revamps ‘Everything Change’ into something much more techno inspired. Vocal snips, devilish arps and emotive chord changes play nicely through the first act before a roboticized take on the vocal brings further intrigue during the break. Another unique production from THe WHite SHadow.

5. Fernando Olaya – Macedonia [Soundteller Records]

The title and showcase piece from Fernando’s new EP on Deersky’s Soundteller records. Rhythmic, groovy and incredibly trippy it’s likely the Colombian artist’s most distinctive creation to date and no doubt a bomb on the dance floor.

6. Pedro Mercado & Karada – Trio (Erdi Irmak Remix) [One Of A Kind]

Erdi Irmak does it again with a mystical remix of Pedro Mercado & Karada’s ‘Trio’. Spacey electronics and a warm, rhythmic core bring a powerful yet meditative vibe. Lovely work once again from the Turkish artist.

7. Kurt Baggaley – Structura (Pacco & Rudy B Remix) [A Must Have]

Already charted by Hernan Cattaneo, Pacco & Rudy B’s progressive house take on ‘ Structura’ by Kurt Baggaley is a deep, emotive journey complete with cinematic breaks and breathtaking vocal wails. This duo is definitely on a roll at the moment.

8. Tash – All I Want (Danny Lloyd Remix) [Stellar Fountain]

Greek progressive house artist and Movement recordings boss Tash returned to Stellar Fountain with ‘All I Want’. Sudbeat artist Danny Lloyd comes up big again with a smooth, rolling mix that you’ll want to listen to over and over again.

9. Sapiens & Springa – Introversion (East Cafe Remix) [Yang]

Very happy to see Tripp Baronner’s Yin Yang labels back for their first release of 2017. East Cafe comes up big on this one, reworking ‘Introversion’ by Sapiens and Springa into a pure progressive burner with energy and emotion to spare. Big remix from the Hungarian artist.

10. Ming – Escape (Juliane Wolf Remix) [MNL]

Courtesy of Paul Hazendonk’s MNL imprint comes a delightful original from Ming and an even more enchanting remix from German artist Juliane Wolf. Great use of the original elements results in a smooth, emotive and distinctly modern progressive rendition.
