Matt Sassari is a french artist whose tracks have featured on labels such as Intec, Terminal M plus Tronic, and his latest release recently dropped on Adam Beyer’s Truesoul.

Not only a connoisseur of beats, but he is also an aficionado of footwear who collects designer trainers, so we asked Matt Sassari to list his all-time favourite pairs of trainers?

Off-White x Nike Waffle Racer

I’m a huge fan of Off-White (Virgil Abloh) and this collaboration with Nike attracts me a lot, first of all because of the design of the sneaker with a deconstructed combination of different elements from original Nike Waffle Racer mixed with Nike React Vapor Street’s sole. I also really like the semi-translucent coating on the entire upper, the new additional lacing system, a vintage nylon tongue, an amazing spike midsole, as well as all the signature elements of the Off-White label such as the zip ties and the industrial inscriptions affixed on the interior sides.

This new design is from the collection called ”Athlete In Progress”. As on the first one (Off White X Nike Waffle), I love the design with the nice colours Blue/Yellow/Pink and multi elements are perfect!

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Yeezreel Reflective”

I really like almost all of the Yeezy Boost 350 from Kanye West, but this one is one of my favourites. I’m always a fan of the flashy colours and new designs. Love the yellow flashy and also the semi-transparent lateral band, a neon yellow heel tab with orange stitching and a semi-translucent Boost sole perfects Ye’s design. I’m using this one for almost all my shows as they are super comfortable and easy to put on, a bit like slippers  🙂

Off White x Nike Zoom Fly The Ten

Here is another collab from Virgil Abloh and Nike for the collection called ”The Ten x Nike”. These ones are a gift from my ex-girlfriend for Christmas 2017 and I like the minimalist style with transparent white upper, supplemented by the Off White branding, black laces where one can read “Shoelaces”. On the midsole, there is also the inscription “FOAM”. As for the lateral swoosh, it is underlined by visible seams.

Nike Flyknit Racer “Multicolor” (2013)

I saved the best for the end! Those sneakers are my FAVORITES from all the one I have! The running model has a multicoloured Flyknit upper mixing pink, blue, yellow and green. The whole is finalized by a black and white midsole. I don’t wear these ones too much as I really love them and don’t want to destroy them and hope they will still be with me for the next five years haha.
