What’s In Your Box: Tuxedo

With Tuxedo having new music out now on Stellar Fountain and Spring Tube, we take a look at his favourite tracks of the moment in the latest edition of What’s In Your Box?

1. Amberoom – Rhit [Ovum]

Amberoom is a brand new project by Manuel Tur, Adrian Hoffmann and Ramin Nouyan. Their first EP called “Rhit” has been just released by Josh Wink’s Ovum and it’s fantastic! Warm analog sound and lovely melodic harmonies caught my attention immediately. Title track with it’s funky piano part is my big fav here and works perfectly if you want to raise temperature on the dancefloor.

2. C.Vogt – Purple Hills [All Day I Dream]

All Day I Dream quickly built it’s reputation as one of the most consistent and freshest deep house imprints. They simply never fails delivering emotional, groovy and dreamy indeed house beats. I highly recommend whole “Purple Hills” EP including also fantastic remix by YokoO. Pure beauty and a perfect stuff for the warm-up.

3. MUUI – Nema [microCastle]

“Nema” is my pick from the great new EP by MUUI. One of the most inspiring and open-minded artist on the scene returns to microCaste in style. Twisted arpeggios, techy rhythms and a bit of melancholy is a mixture that takes you over immediately.

4. Tash – Sirop (Pole Folder Remix) [Just Movement]

I love nearly all stuff coming from the hands and mind of Mr. Pole Folder. He’s so special in it’s own way. This remix for Tash is no exception. Deep and hypnotic groove works perfect on early hours and helps you putting listeners into the right mood.

5. Fluente – Mindtrip [Black Hole]

“Mindtrip” is an effect of collaboration with my good friend Monojoke under our new moniker – Fluente. As played by Hernan Cattaneo at his only gig in Poland last year, finally found it’s home on Max Graham’s new ‘Cycles’ compilation just released by Black Hole. I always have it in my bag – it’s just a huge party weapon!

6. E.F.G. – Sunlight Figure [Electronic Tree]

I’m proud to have E.F.G.’s brand new EP called “The Observer” just released at Electronic Tree and getting deserved feedback around the globe. Oleg, my polish buddy is a great, hard working guy and a mainstay of my label since the beginning. B-side of this amazing 2-tracker is my favorite and definitely one of his best works to date. Just check it out as it’s a truly unique melodic gem that won’t leave your head anytime soon.

7. Tuxedo – Orphan Black [Stellar Fountain]

My own dark melodic tune just released by beloved Hungarian label Stellar Fountain. It has some nice harmonics and groove that makes it definitely useful to warm up the floor. Check out also nice remixes by Bablak, Dust Yard and Edemage.

8. Joe Goddard – Music Is The Answer (Hot Since 82 Remix) [Domino]

Hot Since 82 is a synonym of quality in electronic club music since few years and his touch on one of the most classic vocals in house music is another great trophy in his discography – proper peak time bomb!

9. Black 8 – Papyrus [Hope]

Incredible 13-minutes long journey by egyptian talent Black 8. A breaktrough track that in my ears perfectly connects past with the present of progressive house music. Another atomic bomb in this chart and fantastic signing by Nick Warren and his Hope Recordings.

10. Peter Martin – Distant Reflection [Ambient Wave]

I’m having huge sentiment for Peter Martin productions from his early days and it’s so cool to hear his new music from time to time with the same cool oldschool feeling. And we all know good prog breaks are like a holy grail these days. “Distant Reflection” reminds me a bit of his own classic “Nice Guys Finish Last” as a Pinkbox Special.
