Alfonso Muchacho - Echo Peak EP

The 47th release on 3rd Avenue welcomes Alfonso Muchacho to the label with a brand new 3 track EP.

Alfonso Muchacho - Echo Peak EP

The UK based producer has found a home on Abstract Space Records, Electronic Tree and Stellar Fountain where a good portion of his releases have come out in recent years. His much anticipated debut for 3rd Avenue is finally here and contains three brand new original productions.

The rough and rugged grooves of ‘You Changed Me’ lead the release off and if you’re familiar with Alfonso’s sound you’ll definitely notice a difference here. There’s a much more contemporary deep house approach happening with varied themes and electronic designs captivating the senses. The main break adds to it further with warm vocal elements and radiant textures, both of which bring wonderful emotion. A stylish shift comes again with the return of the beats which power the of menacing groove to a nice finish.

The second selection ‘Echo Peak’ presents a similar design with dark offset stabs and musical motifs complementing the rolling groove. The nearly two minute break adds mystery and intrigue with soft vocal stabs and hazy harmonies leading the way. It’s a heavy vibe which comes off quite melancholic and it carries into the third act once the beats return and bring a warm rush.

The third and final selection ‘End Of Us’ serves as the ideal EP closer with its distinct end of the night appeal. The timeless melodic approach Alfonso has taken here is wonderful and the drums are some of his best on record. It’s smooth, effortless air and musical elements make it the most emotional record he’s ever written, and one which is sure to stand the test of time on his discography. Wonderful EP from Alfonso who has pushed himself to new levels here. Don’t miss it.
