Luis Bondio’s Classound Recordings is back this week for the labels 16th overall release. It features the return of one of Argentina’s most under appreciated producers Guille Cornejo aka Antrim. Blessed with the distinctive skill of crafting something musically unique with almost each and every outing Guille is definitely someone that deserves more recognition. His latest single for Classound Recordings is entitled ‘Free Spirit’ and it comes with a remix from Darin Epsilon.
One of Antrim’s career best productions was undoubtedly ‘Rita’ which came courtesy of System Recordings in April of this year. The emotion of the record came from a very real place in Antrim’s life and it was conveyed amazingly well in the music. His latest ‘Free Spirit’ sees the Argentinean producer with one of his most club friendly creations to date. It’s deep rolling grooves, playful stabs, cool vocal loops and grandiose melodic theme give it immense dance floor appeal. What’s really amazing is how well all these elements work together. If done the wrong way this could be incredibly cheesy but Antrim’s found a way to make it quite cool. Should be a great record for the rest of the summer season.
The lone remix is provided by Darin Epsilon who makes his debut on Classound Recordings here. The Perspectives Digital label boss has grown into one of North America’s biggest electronic music talents. From his recent productions on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music to opening up for John Digweed Darin is someone who has grown immensely since the beginning of the year and all indications are that he is well on his way to dance music dominance. For his ‘Free Spirit’ interpretation Darin has crafted one of the feel good remixes of the year. Backed by a warm summery groove, hook heavy vocal elements and fluid rhythms this might be one of the summer’s real hidden gems. If this isn’t perfect for Ibiza then I don’t know what is. Great stuff from Darin and another standout release from Luis Bondio’s Classound Recordings.
