Sound Avenue’s 3rd Avenue imprint returns this week for its 24th overall release and with that comes two brand new remixes for a track included on their ‘We Are The Future Summer 2013’ compilation. Constan’s ‘Reflections’ closed the compilation out with a smooth hypnotic vibe that left fans wanting to hear more from the young Mexican producer. For the labels 24th overall release 3rd Avenue has put together a package of two brand new remixes for ‘Reflections’ from: Zan Prevee and Naplam & d-phrag.

The first remix comes from Zan Prevee who is making his first appearance on 3rd Avenue. The Greek producer has been an integral part of the progressive house underground since he appeared on Mistique Music and InsomniaFM in mid 2012. Zan’s remix of ‘Reflections’ focuses on those glacial lines from Constan’s original with some new added twists. The delicate electronics which bubble effortlessly through the framework bring the track to the main drop. Here a more developed theme begins to take shape with complementary hypno lines and sweeping synths playing off each other well for a smooth climax. The second half soars a bit higher with the airy pad work adding a subtle touch which pushes the track even closer to the heavens. Solid work from Zan. The second and final interpretation comes from Napalm & d-phrag who are making their second appearance on 3rd Avenue following a remix of Urban Chameleon’s ‘Sociopath’ from December of last year. The hugely popular duo have opted for a deep, atmospheric rework that is delightfully intoxicated. The relatively dubby framework is layered with some of the haziest hypnotics that you’ll hear and it’s a real pleasure to listen to. The trailing effects add a wonderful touch of psychedelia to the mix as well which is going to be brilliant for setting the mood of room. Great work from Napalm & d-phrag and a great remix pack from 3rd Avenue. Highly Recommended.
