Darin Epsilon & DeeProgressV – The Conclusion Remixes (Perspectives Digital)

The 27th release on Perspectives Digital is out now and it’s one of the labels biggest and most exciting releases to date. It features brand new remixes of label boss Darin Epsilon’s recent collaboration with DeeProgressV. ‘The Conclusion’ was released as part of the Perspectives Digital WMC Sampler and now sees brand new interpretations from a dream team which includes Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile, Marcelo Vasami and Mike Griego.

The first remix of ‘The Conclusion’ is supplied by Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile who are a production trio that should really need no introduction. Hernan Cattaneo is one of the world’s most loved progressive house DJs and his Sudbeat label imprint is widely regarded as one of the best in its field. Soundexile is a Buenos Aires based production duo (who are frequent studio partners with Hernan) who have been crafting unique and inspiring electronic music since 2006. The pair are also very accomplished DJs having shared the booth with Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, James Zabiela, Dave Seaman, Sander Kleinenberg and Henry Saiz. For their ‘The Conclusion’ interpretation Hernan and Soundexile have taken the great elements from the original and transformed them into a cool slice of melodic tech house. The trio’s tightly constructed framework, razor sharp electronics and blissful harmonies all meld together for what results in a track that not only has a great dance floor sensibility but is also an interesting listen from start to finish.

The second remix is provided by Buenos Aires based producer Marcelo Vasami who is making his debut on Perspectives Digital. Marcelo has long been regarded as one of the top producers to come out of the talent filled Argentinean scene. He is fresh off an appearance on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeats Volume 2 compilation and his remix of ‘The Conclusion’ has turned out wonderfully. The dreamy attributes of Marcelo’s production chops are on full display here as he marvellously re-creates the melodies over a tough foundation that’s loaded with groove. Although the atmosphere and trippy elements are quite prominent Marcelo has managed to keep the focus on the records strong foundation which is really what’s so impressive here. Excellent remix.

The second and final remix is provided by Mike Griego who is also making his debut on Perspectives Digital. Also based in Argentina Mike is a producer that chooses his projects very wisely. In a day and age where many producers (and labels) opt for a more volume based approach Mike never compromises creative quality just for the sake of putting a record out. The second half of 2014 forecasts what should be the biggest moments in Mike’s career thus far with a soon to be released EP on Sudbeat and a forthcoming EP (with Stas Drive) due on Flow Vinyl. Mike’s ‘The Conclusion’ interpretation sees a continuing shift in production style for the Argentinean. In going with a tougher more techno inspired approach Mike has not only provided a great complement to the previous more melodic interpretations but he’s managed to craft a remix that’s bound to work amazingly well on the dance floor. A solid release from Perspectives Digital which will surely go down as one of the labels biggest this year.
