Free Download: Ucrós – Euphoric

We get sent tonnes of requests to premiere tracks and host free downloads from new artists here at C-U. There was something about Sebastian Rodriquez’s (aka Ucrós) track that really stood out for us. We think he has a great future in dance music. Labels take note.

Tell us about you

Ucros: I’m 20 years old, currently living in Miami, Florida and I have been producing and Djing for about a year.

What made you get in to dance music?

Ucros: I first became interested in dance music when my father used to drive me to school in the morning while listening to 80’s synth-wave bands like Depeche Mode, New Order, and Human League. As I got older, my brother introduced me to Djs such as Daft Punk, Eric Prydz, Justice and many more.

Where was your first gig?

Ucros: My first gig was at Club Space Miami.

How difficult was learning to produce for you in the beginning?

Ucros: Learning to produce wasn’t that difficult to master the arrangement, the difficult part was creating a distinguished sound.

Tell us more about your latest release

Ucros: My song “Euphoric” was inspired by listening to old school progressive house mixed with a little bit of techno. A big inspiration for that track came from listening to an old Jeremy Olander song.

What’s the music scene like where you live and how often are you playing?

Ucros: The music scene in Miami is very diverse. There is a place for every sub-genre of electronic music. While I don’t play that often, I am definitely focusing on my production.

Which other DJs or producers are you liking right now?

Ucros: As of right now I’ve been listening to a lot of Eric Prydz, Cristoph, Jeremy Olander, Fehrplay, and a lot of other producers who make progressive/techno. These artists serve as a huge inspiration to my production.

What are your go to labels?

Ucros: My go to labels would be Vivrant, Pryda Records, Knee Deep in Sound, and Mau5trap.

Tell us about your DJ setup

Ucrós: I use Pioneer CDJ’s for my Dj set up.

What’s been your biggest achievement

Ucros: So far, my biggest achievement has been the release of my two singles “Surrender” and “90’s” on ADMK’S Records as well as my guest mix featured on HomeGrown with Chris Clark on Revolution Radio 93.5.

What can we expect from you soon

Ucrós: You can be expecting a lot of new production, release of two EP’s, and hearing my name in the electronic scene a lot more often.
