Marc Pollen’s ‘Just You’ EP was released in May of this year and contained three of the Dutch producers finest tracks to date. Marc’s clean, contemporary and always club friendly sounds are making their mark amongst the new school progressive house Djs out there. This week sees Balkan Connection with a nice remix pack for Marc’s ‘Just You’ EP which includes new interpretations from: Nicholas Van Orton, Jelly For The Babies and Mladen Mande.

The first remix on the release comes from Nicholas Van Orton who is making his 47th appearance on the label. Nicholas always seems to have an amazing nose for the dance floor and he’s delivered another winner here. The rumbling bass lines bring some immediate impact while the forceful drums, airy atmospheres and effervescent synth textures add just the right amount of complementary character. That’s the amazing thing about Nicholas’ tracks; they encompass a wide range of sounds and atmospheres but he never loses sight of the dance floor and that’s the brilliance with his ‘Looking Back’ interpretation here as well.

The second rework on the package comes from Jelly For The Babies who is fresh off his amazing debut album. ‘Dream Hunter Chronicles’ was released last week with great success, at the time of this writing it’s comfortably sitting at #42 in the Beatport Progressive house chart and contains some of the Serbian producer’s most accomplished work to date. For his remix here Jelly For The Babies has overhauled ‘You Groove Me’ into a blissful masterpiece. Deep undertones, spacey electronics and a tough enough framework to make it ideal for the floor. Excellent stuff from Jelly For The Babies as usual!

The final remix on the package comes from Mladen Mande who is making his first appearance on Balkan Connection after 8 total outings on the Tech and South America divisions. The Serbian producer has reworked ‘Soul For You’ into a drummy dance floor smash that really packs some punch. The groove has a cool hypnotic swing about it and the stabs give it a bit of a back room vibe that’s quite refreshing. Super cool stuff from Mladen and a very good remix collection from Balkan Connection.
