POPOF Makes Debut on Kaluki Musik

FORM Music head honcho and French techno icon POPOF starts 2019 as he means to go on with the release of his long-awaited debut EP on Kaluki Musik.

Out now via the esteemed Manchester-based imprint, the two-track ‘Kronic’ EP is yet another masterclass in immersive, energetic soundscapes from an expert producer at the very top of his game.

Kicking off the EP with the title-track ‘Kronic’, POPOF delivers a bouncy tech house groover with plenty of energy to take you straight to the dancefloor.

Rounding off the package is the slightly darker sounding ‘Hooker’, with its sinister build-ups, rolling drums and hypnotic basslines.

POPOF’s ‘Kronic’ EP follows on from a prolific 2018, which saw him release music on the likes of Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD, Pig&Dan’s Elevate, Adam Beyer’s Truesoul and Stefano Noferini’s Deeperfect.

His long-running label FORM Music also went from strength to strength with releases from the likes of Gallya, Simina Grigoriu, Dave Wincent and Animal & Me to name but a few.

Featuring four of the heaviest cuts released on FORM Music over the course of 2018 (from UMEK, Metodi Hristov The Reactivitz and POPOF himself), the second instalment of his critically acclaimed vinyl-only series ‘Reformers Vol. 2’will drop at the end of January 2019.
