The latest release on Superordinate Music welcomes Robert R. Hardy to the label for his debut EP.

Robert R. Hardy - Sensus (Superordinate Music)

The UK imprint has been on a quick rise ever since their first release just a few months ago. Their last offering from Dmitry Molosh stormed into the Beatport Progressive House Top 20 and judging by their upcoming schedule the label is serious about being one of the top progressive imprints. The labels fifth release finds Robert R. Hardy making his debut with a two track EP entitled ‘Sensus’.

Much like Superordinate Robert has been hot recently, for the entire year in fact and the title track is a great example why. The Hungarian’s warm, chunky grooves and rising atmospheric storyboard immediately sucks you in. The subtle build towards the main break is highlighted by indistinct melodies and smooth chord changes. The beauty of it is it just keeps going, the third act heightens everything just a notch further while still keeping that restrained, contemporary mood. Beautiful track from Robert.

The companion piece ‘Chasing Pleasure’ comes with a similar vibe and progression but with a greater melodic sensibility. Again anchored by one of Robert’s trademark grooves, the smoothness and flow is impeccable throughout. The melodies dissipate towards the end of the first act and initiate the breakdown only to rise again along with a gentle rush of white noise which brings the beats back for a nice moment. Two wonderful cuts from Robert and another excellent release from Superordinate Music. Definitely a label to keep a close eye on.
