The next release on System Recordings looks to be one of their biggest of year and it features the debut of an exciting new artist to the label. For Romanian producer Gabriela Dinca aka Sea music has been an essential part of her life since a young age. From being classically trained in theory and composition to beginning her journey as a DJ by the age of twelve Gabriela’s heart has long been rooted in music. Years of hard work in the studio has seen Sea develop her own unique production sound which is rich in musicality and emotion. Her debut single for System Recordings ‘Cosmic Love’ certainly exemplifies that and the remixes provided by Verche and Stas Drive further translate things to the dance floor.

The ‘Cosmic Love’ original leads the release off and it certainly gets Sea’s production career off to a great start as well. There is something deeply emotional about this piece of music and the collective strength of its parts is very special. The tracks dramatic sound swells grab your attention straight away and the underlying tension they invoke proves to be quite dramatic. From the ethereal blur of the vocal elements to the piercing emotion of its gleaming tones there is a lot to like here and it no doubt foreshadows the first of many great things to come from Sea’s studio. An excellent debut production.

The first remix is supplied by one of System’s resident artists Verche. Also part of the label’s A & R team the Croatian producer has continued to deliver his unique and emotional brand of electronica all throughout 2014. There have been a long line of memorable production’s for Verche with ‘No One Left Behind’ perhaps being at the top of the list. For his ‘Cosmic Love’ interpretation the Croatian producer has brought the track closer to a more techno oriented dance floor. Backed by a tough groove and waves of vibrant percussion Verche has stayed true to the amazing themes from the original and given Sea’s harmonies the space to breathe. It proves to be a great complement to the dreamy original and continues what has been a great run for Verche on System Recordings.

The second and final interpretation of ‘Cosmic Love’ is provided by Stas Drive who is returning to System Recordings for his third appearance. The Ukrainian producer has been enjoying the best year of his career thus far with his massively well received ‘Mocca Sunset’ (in conjunction with Mike Griego) just getting released on Flow Vinyl. For his ‘Cosmic Love’ interpretation Stas Drive has put his own unique deep house twist on the track. The reconstruction begins with a radically revamped groove that comes with some wonderfully funky elements. Heavily processed vocal snips and a great complement of drums grab your attention right away. Then Sea’s amazing parts slowly begin to make their presence felt. The long tonal swells and airy vocals really shine against Stas’s well constructed groove. The second half of the record proves to be even stronger with the Ukrainian producer’s new found musical hooks stealing the show. One of Stas Drive’s best remixes of the year and a great debut release for Sea on System Recordings. Definitely a producer to keep an eye on for the remainder of the year and on into 2015.
