Soulfire & GabiM – Morning Bliss (Soulfire Downloads)

Soulfire Downloads returns after a four month hiatus with a brand new collaborative project. The Aussie based imprints 47th overall release features label boss Soulfire teaming up with Hungarian producer GabiM who fans of Sound Avenue’s 3rd Avenue imprint will certainly be familiar with. The duos first studio project together is entitled ‘Morning Bliss’ and it comes with remixes from Blusoul and Paul Harrison.

The release begins with two versions from Soulfire and GabiM which both offer something uniquely different while staying true to the composition’s dreamy themes. The deep, chunky sound which was featured on GabiM’s 3rd Avenue productions is certainly evident here with a well carved selection of bass stabs which make up the powerful foundation. It’s an appropriately titled piece as the melodic and atmospheric elements seem tailor made for a wonderful sunrise moment. The vibe though stays firmly on the dance floor with such a powerful groove rooting the production. Soulfire’s version goes a touch deeper with the groove being even more pronounced which results in an even stronger dance floor option. Both are full of very powerful emotional content so it would be hard to go wrong with either one. Expect to see a lot of smiling faces out there when these are dropped.

The first remix is supplied by Blusoul who is making first appearance on Soulfire Downloads. The Greek producer has been quiet this year with just a single and remix being released by 3rd Avenue and Lowbit Records respectively. Blusoul’s rich and powerful sound is loved throughout the progressive underground and his interpretation of ‘Morning Bliss’ has also won over Guy J who has lent his support. The well textured waves of rolling bass that Blusoul is so loved for are on full display here once again as the foundation sounds positively electric. The Greek producer has also managed to reinvent the melodic elements into something very powerful which is a nice contrast to the more dreamy interpretations previous to it. It’s the standout production on the release for me and also one of Blusoul’s all time best. Don’t miss it.

The second and final interpretation is provided by Soulfire Downloads regular Paul Harrison who is making his sixth appearance on the label. The UK producer’s ‘Mystic Morning’ interpretation of ‘Morning Bliss’ is a laid back progressive beauty. For as heavenly as the original versions are this is even more impactful. Filled with well crafted atmospheres, lush vocal elements and incandescent keys it puts the icing on the cake for this welcome return for Soulfire downloads. Don’t miss it.
