Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic’s Mistique Music continues to release strong music through the generally slower summer months. Last weeks EP from Noa Romana and Deersky was one of our favourites this year and this week sees Valandi Pangea & Calavera with a new single on the label. Greek producer Valandi Pangea along with frequent studio partner Calavera make their debut on Mistique with ‘Einklang’ which comes with remixes from Reflection Soul and Andi Vasilos.

The ‘Einklang’ original is very well produced hypnotic progressive cut. The tough beats, grinding tones and piercing stabs create a wicked atmosphere as the track builds towards the breakdown. The break lets the modulating bass tones breathe a bit along with the flickering hypnotics that lay in the backdrop. It’s a very moody interlude which sets up the new melodic elements following the break nicely. The glimmering keys add just the right amount of sparkle to the production for a great finish.

The first remix comes from Andi Vasilos who is making his first appearance on Mistique. The Greek producer has a huge discography with releases on Presslab, One Sound and Know Thyself. Andi’s ‘Einklang’ interpretation is a superb club rework with a spacious groove, vibrant drums and smooth rhythmic tones. It’s really a perfectly constructed club cut, simple but effective and destined for dance floor success.
The final remix comes from Reflection Soul who is making his fourth appearance on Mistique. Robert Besmaternykh aka Reflection Soul hails from Russia and is one of many new hot up and coming melodic techno producers. His ‘Aurora Borealis’ EP on Tvardovsky’s Stereo Paradise imprint 5 months ago was stunning and he’s also had quality releases on Balkan Connection and Stripped Digital. For his ‘Einklang’ remix Reflection Soul has delivered a very powerful version which finishes the package on a strong note. The driving techy rework is full of melancholic overtones and futuristic design. Reflection Soul is one of best new talents out there and his remix here clearly shows that, it’s our favourite track on the package as well. More great stuff from Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic’s Mistique Music.
