US powerhouse System Recordings returns this week with a new single from one of the labels primary artists Verche. The talented Croatian has been mesmerizing us with gorgeous melodic techno since his early productions on his own Sangria imprint. In the last year his work has been remixed by a long line of A-list artists that includes: Cid Inc., Jamie Stevens, Luis Junior, Ian O’Donovan, Lank and many more! His new single taken from his much anticipated debut album is entitled ‘Ego’ and it comes with a remix from Andre Sobota.

‘Ego’ has come at the perfect time it seems; the laser-like summer lines and melancholic chord changes just seem even more enchanting with the lovely warm weather surroundings. Ego’s seemingly endless wave of hypnotic energy builds to a stellar climax at around the five minute mark. The main break completely strips the piece right down and as the wavering harmonies and groove slowly fade back into the mix a warm rush of emotion comes over the track. It’s a spectacular moment which is going to no doubt produce some magic on the dance floor in the coming months. Awesome stuff from Verche.

The lone remix comes from Andre Sobota who is making his second appearance on System. Andre’s unique melodic sound has been enchanting electronic music fans over the first half of 2013 and he continues to be a firm favourite of Above and Beyond, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Eric Prydz and Markus Schulz. For his ‘Ego’ remix Andre has beefed up the groove considerably and delivered a perfect dance floor interpretation. Andre’s glistening, sun-drenched take on the melodic themes from Verche’s original are absolutely perfect here and his rumbling progressive techno groove has never sounded better. Top notch EP from System Recordings. Release Promo Hype Chart Top 10
