Really smart sounding stuff from Deersky’s Soundteller imprint. Nick Warren faves Abity deliver a 10 minute slice of deep, enchanting progressive house with excellent sonic artifacts.
Jorgio Kioris & Da Luka – Mirror Mode (Danny Lloyd Remix) [Hookah Records]
The ever smooth Danny Lloyd makes his debut on Hot TuneiK’s Hookah Records this week with a sleek and classy interpretation of ‘Mirror Mode’ by Bloque Festival founder Jorgio Kioris and Albanian artist Da Luka. Nearly ten minutes of energetic yet meditative progressive house. Wonderful stuff from Danny.
Fille V & Mathi – Samma Samadhi (Dyo Atoma Remix) [Massive Harmony Records]
One for the pure progressive house lovers out there, courtesy of Julian Rodriguez’s Massive Harmony Records. For those unfamiliar with Dyo Atoma it’s a new collaborative partnership from Russian well know Russian artists Sam Scheme and Jiminy Hop. This remix has it all, from smooth melodious grooves, haunting vocals and spaced out atmospherics. A definite prog bomb.
Robert R. Hardy – Desired (Cream & Deep Fog Remix) [Varona Label]
Luis Kiverling’s Varona Label has been hot and this release from Robert R. Hardy keeps the momentum rolling. Cream & Deep Fog deliver the remix of choice, upping the tempo a touch but keep the deep vibes intact all while adding some highly emotive moments. Amazing stuff from the Polish duo.
Trockensaft – Sailors (Luke Garcia & UOIO Remix) [Dear Deer Records]
KDB Records boss Trockensaft returns to Tvardovsky and Alex Kaspersky’s Dear Deer imprint this week with ‘Sailors’. On remix duty is the currently hot Luke Garcia & UOIO who inject a healthy dose of spacey, atmospheric techno into the original. Eerie, mysterious and oh so satisfying.
Roberto Traista – Dreamers [Agara Music]
After a four month hiatus Travis MacDonald’s Agara Music returns with a new EP from label artist Roberto Traista. Stylistically diverse over 3 tracks it’s the last one entitled ‘Dreamers’ which really hits home. Quite reflective in tone it ends the EP with a subtle, yet highly emotive vibe.
Sagou – Twilight in Venice (Danny Lloyd Remix) [MNL]
Danny Lloyd does the impossible and makes it into the chart twice this week with another clean and serene remix. This time of Dutch artist Sagou on Paul Hazendonk’s MNL imprint. Already played by Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren in their recent b2b Sudbeat / Soundgarden showcase set.
