Progressive House Promo Pool and industry hype chart – Release Promo share their weekly must hear tracks.
Kamilo Sanclemente & Mauro Aguirre – Ocean Of Storms [Clubsonica Records]
Undoubtedly the biggest progressive house release this week comes from Colombia’s Clubsonica Records. On the second of two tracks sometime studio partners Kamilo Sanclemente & Mauro Aguirre team up for ‘ Ocean Of Storms’. Undulating bass stabs, waves of percussion and timely vocal elements generate amazing momentum before a haunting top line lifts the mood into celestial territory. Subtle in delivery and all the more impactful as a result it leads to a third act highlighted by buzzing effects and gentle synth overlays. A masterful journey from Kamilo and Mauro, rounding out what is one of Clubsonica’s most impressive offerings to date.
Alessandro Diga – Standing On My Feet (Danito & Athina Remix) [Manual Music]
Hailing from Germany and famed for releases on Jeudi Records and Stil Vor Talent, Danito & Athina have been one of this year’s most in demand remix duos. This fruitful partnership has yielded a fresh, energetic, club friendly take on progressive house, which has been dominating the Beatport charts all throughout 2017. Their latest remix for Paul Hazendonk’s Manual Music looks set for a similar fate with it’s warm, full groove and hypnotic sensibilities. The lead elements have been utilized wonderfully, in a slightly less distinct and more meditative, sleek manner. This is a mix which excels on flow and several short but timely breaks which make for many dynamic moments across the seven minute journey. Definitely a production to raise the energy your dance floor.
Nico Bruno – Crossing the Sky [Genesis Music]
Michael A’s Genesis Music returns this week with a brand new EP from Nico Bruno. The Argentinean artist showcases three wonderful tracks, ending with the big and bold ‘Crossing The Sky’. It’s frenzied synth work and tough, rolling groove are perfectly primed for the dance floor and end the release off on a strong note.
Robert R. Hardy – Verum (Nicholas Van Orton Remix) [Superordinate Music]
Superordinate Music returns in a big way this week, showcasing new remixes of Robert R. Hardy’s ‘Verum’. Closing the release out is BCSA label boss Nicholas Van Orton who brings his groovy style to the track. The deep, sultry vibe from the original translates well throughout and the Argentine’s spacious production gives the mix a very large presence. One of the most distinctive things about Nicholas’ work are his grooves; full, warm and immaculately carved they create a perfect bed for all the melodic elements to work their magic. That is certainly the case here as the whole flow of the track sounds effortless and with just the right amount of emotion for its laid back vibe.
Lily Pita – I’ll Make It Up To You [ICONYC]
Fresh off releases on Bedrock and Glasgow Underground Lily Pita makes her debut on ICONYC this week with ‘I’ll Make It Up To You’. Deep, hypnotic and warm, you’re immediately sucked into it’s smooth flowing storyboard. Tantalizing synth work and a buzzing tension push the narrative forward before really going off in the second act with a squirlly lead line. A big time track from Lily.
Ricardo Piedra – Sepilly (Hot TuneiK Remix) [Stellar Fountain]
Stellar Fountain presents a brand new EP from Hungarian artist Ricardo Piedra alongside great remixes from Zan Prevee and Hot TuneiK. Closing the release out is one of this year’s most talked about artists in Hot TuneiK. The Mexican producer and Hookah Records label boss has developed a great sound. His warm, groovy productions are playing well on dance floors worldwide and he’s delivered another excellent remix here. It’s actually one of his bigger productions of 2017, very driving and energetic with great drums and rhythmic qualities. Generally Hot keeps his interpretations pretty dubbed out but the melodies really come to life in this one, particularly during a poignant break which perfectly paves the road to a lovely third act finale.
Kommodo – Equinox [Timeless Moment]
Morttagua’s Timeless Moment continues to dominate the progressive scene and this week unveils the second volume of it’s ‘Unique Moment’ series. Spread across five tracks it’s Kommodo’s ‘Equinox’ which we showcase here. A quirky, dark and supremely hypnotic production that should sit well with fans of the neuveau European sound.
Vladimir Platine – Help (Pat Siaz Remix) [Animate Dummy Recordings]
Flying Point’s Animate Dummy Recordings reappears this week with a new EP from Vladimir Platine. It’s the Cyprus based Pat Siaz who provides an amazing remix of ‘Help’, taking the track into deeper, more emotive territory with smooth chord changes, clattering drums and a floaty vibe that’s going to sound incredible at an open air event.
mooravyov – 27676 Steps [Balkan Connection]
The latest from Balkan Connection welcomes new artist mooravyov to the label. The title track ‘27676 Steps’ explores a fusion of progressive techno. Interesting design, rolling grooves, a fresh line of eerie effects and vocal samples make for an engaging first act. Stripping down into the second act might be where the most magic is though. Rough and rugged bass tones fuel an intense vibe and it’s cavernous feel is the perfect sonic space for all the astral delights along the way.
Dyo Atoma – Tazmania (Bablak Remix) [Clinique Recordings]
The duo of Sam Scheme and Jiminy Hop return to Clinque Recordings this week under their Dyo Atoma alias. Once again Bablak shines with a killer interpretation led by bulbous bass stabs, ethereal soundscapes and tight rhythmic drive. Another perfect production for the dance floor from Bablak.
Mario Puccio – Faustina (Golan Zocher Remix) [Massive Harmony Records]
Julian Rodriguez’s Massive Harmony Records presents a new single from Mario Puccio this week. The perpetually hot Golan Zocher provides the remix of choice with a smooth free flowing vibe. The tempo comes up slightly and the main themes are downplayed considerably for a very sleek and refined seven minute journey.
Munbraze – Peractorum (Stage Van H Remix) [Suffused Music]
Stage Van H returns to Suffused Music for his second appearance this week and remixes Romania’s Munbraze in fine style. The Greek artist’s smooth, old school sound is always a pleasant listen and this one evokes summery visions and seaside vibes in the process. Another feel good production from Stage which is perfect for the club or your Ipod.
