Progressive House Promo Pool and industry hype chart – Release Promo share their weekly must hear tracks.
Orsen – Through The Woods [Replug]
Orsen returns to Replug this week with a brand new EP entitled ‘Through The Woods’ and it is the title cut which we love most. Drifting closer to techno territory Orsen presents some of his most inspired sound design to date with free flowing percussive experimentation and arcane rhythms sitting atop tightly programmed beats. Already in the charts of Guy J so you know it’s one not to miss.
Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic – Trespassing (Lonya & Maydan Remix) [Kunai Records]
Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic’s Kunai Records returns this week for one of the label’s most anticipated releases to date. Over a massive selection of remixes it’s Lonya & Maydan we showcase here. The Israeli duo have collaborated on numerous occasions in the past, most notably for Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music. Now teaming up once again they deliver a stellar rendition of ‘Trespassing’, taking it closer to the dance floor with electric moods and heady rhythms.
Antrim – I Hear The Distance [Or Two Strangers]
This might be the biggest release for Or Two Strangers yet and fittingly it comes from label boss Antrim. Consistent and diverse, the Argentinean artist once again shows off his studio repertoire with the lead cut ‘I Hear The Distance’. Exploring his pure progressive house roots the Antrim brings warm grooves and emotive melodies for the ultimate summer record. Clustered bass notes flow through harmonious chord changes as waves of percussion fire and luminous motifs carry into the main break. Short and dynamic, the tracks centerpiece serves as an energy bridge, lifting the mood through to a gorgeous conclusion.
Federico Monachesi – This Is Not Happening (Kamilo Sanclemente & Golan Zocher Remix) [Soundteller Records]
Federico Monachesi returns to Deersky’s Soundteller Records this week with a brand new single entitled ‘This Is Not Happened’. First up on the remixes are Kamilo Sanclemente & Golan Zocher who continue to amaze with a perfect dance floor minded storyboard. From groovy, atmospheric beginnings comes heavy synth decay into a break which not only brings electric vibes but serves as the perfect setup to a drop which really packs some punch. This is the progressive sound of now and sure to be a staple in many DJ sets over the coming months.
Michael A – Electronic Culture [Genesis Music]
Genesis Music returns following a two month hiatus with a brand new track from label boss Michael A. Although Genesis may have taken a slight break it’s boss has been as prolific as ever this year. With a recent release on Praveen Achary’s Juicebox Music riding high in the Beatport progressive house charts his latest single ‘Electronic Culture’ is much anticipated and does not disappoint. Stellar design, trippy motifs and lucid flow make for an excellent vibe early with cosmic effects and a meandering haze advancing the storyboard perfectly.
Robert R. Hardy – Gypsy Water [Balkan Connection South America]
The latest from Nicolas Van Orton’s Balkan Connection South America welcomes Robert R Hardy back to the label for a brand new EP. Robert’s versatility can’t be overstated. From a career which began with deeper more atmospheric productions the Hungarian artist has grown with more progressive minded pieces as well as late night dubby material. It’s a great repertoire to have and he mixes it up really well from project to project. On ‘Gypsy Water’ we get something quite deep with great musicality. The mallet style lead stands out with warm, vibrant qualities while a laid back yet bouncy groove brings a great dance floor sensibility. There’s a definite crossover happening with a lot of deeper house meshing quite well with progressive arrangements. This fits nicely into that box.
Monojoke – Paradisum (DJ Beat2 Remix) [Electronic Tree]
The latest release from Tuxedo’s Electronic Tree imprint welcomes Monojoke back to label for a brand new single. It’s one of India’s fastest rising stars in DJ Beat2 who we want to highlight here. In addition to being one of his country’s most well known DJs Beat2 also has a short but impressive discography highlighted by releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Lonya’s Asymmetric Recordings. The future certainly looks bright and a strong interpretation of ‘Paradisum’ only re-enforces that. The first thing you notice is the production quality here, very open and spacious which allows all the great percussive elements to breath wonderfully. Beat2’s time behind the decks has served him well as the rhythmic core of the track has a strong dance floor sensibility, while the melodic elements do just enough to illicit great emotion without being overbearing. A classy remix from Beat2 who is definitely building a strong presence in the progressive house underground.
Nicolas Petracca – Amilur (Erdi irmak Remix) [Clubsonica Records]
The latest from Juan Pablo Torrez’s Clubsonica Records finds Nicolas Petracca returning for his debut single. Making his label debut is Erdi Irmak who as usual steals the show with a brilliant remix. Radiant beats combined with broken percussion and spiralling themes make for a lovely first act before an astral break ultimately seals its emotive brilliance. Perhaps one of Erdi’s most gorgeous remixes to date and no doubt his most sought after this year.
Stage Van H, Dark Architects – Cosmology (Dimuth K Remix) [Balkan Connection]
Balkan Connection presents a first ever collaboration from Stage Van H and Dark Architects this week. Sri Lankan artist Dimuth K returns to the label with a gorgeous remix. Deep, groovy and incredibly emotive it makes great use of the original elements in a smooth and effortless fashion.
Push’n’Ball – Fibonacci (Dynamic Illusion Remix) [Astrowave]
The latest from Stellar Fountain’s Astrowave division finds Dynamic Illusion remixing ‘ Fibonacci’ by Push’n’Ball. The Hungarian artist brings a smooth, summery progressive vibe to the deeper original with flowing grooves, ethereal vocals and gorgeous top line melodies.

A string of quality appearances on Sound Avenue, Bullfinch and Animate Dummy highlight his well kept discography. Now making his much anticipated Movement Recordings debut Pat puts his own unique twist on ‘Nocturnal’. The dynamic kicks and metallic designs immediately illuminate your mind while a trail of eerie effects develops a mystical storyboard. Refinement is the key and Pat has it in spades where spiralling designs and haunting tones steal the air on this unforgettable trip.
