Release Promo Progressive House Hype Chart Week 29

Progressive House Promo Pool and industry hype chart – Release Promo share their weekly must hear tracks.

1. Li-Polymer – Conventu [ICONYC]

The latest from John Johnson’s ICONYC imprint finds Li-Polymer returning to the label with a gorgeous single entitled ‘Conventu’. Organic in design and incredible groovy there’s just a lot of great electronics to marvel over here, the vocal elements are on the money as well, one of the week’s best no doubt.

2. Ri Za – Sitting On A Triangle (Marten Sundberg Remix) [One Of A Kind]

A wonderful release on Jelly For the Babies and Bonaca’s One Of A Kind imprint this week. Marten Sundberg comes up big again with yet another amazing remix. Organic, fluid and ever evolving it’s one for the heady connoisseur and perfect for the dance floor.

3. David Granha & Flowers and Sea Creatures – Better Tomorrow (Praveen Achary Remix) [Strange Town Recordings]

Juicebox Music boss Praveen Achary makes his debut on Canada’s Strange Town Records in a big way, taking ‘Better Tomorrow’ into deep, meditative territory. As you would hope, the amazing vocals from the original shine here but it’s the delivery which makes them come off as special they should. The complementary elements are elegant and charming, providing just the right sonic space, while the framework is stripped, punchy and suitably modern. The shifty harmonics and gentle haze are unbelievably emotive and the piece is so well storyboarded that just the clap dropping in the third act sounds absolutely enormous. A superb take and for my money Praveen’s best ever remix.

4. Michael A – Another Way (Juan Demincis Remix) [Movement Recordings]

Tash’s Movement recordings delivers another fine release from Michael A with the Juan Deminicis remix really standing out. Juan’s knack for crafting charming atmospheres has never been more evident as a backdrop of velvety textures perfectly encases the tight framework and free flowing designs. Dreamy and groovy in equal measure it’s a piece built on restraint and refinement , deeply engaging and perfect for a late night dance floor.

5. Isaac Differding – The Forest Voices (Scott James Remix) [Soundteller Records]

Deersky’s Soundteller Records just never seems to miss and this week sees Scott James making his label debut with a remix of ‘The Forest Voices’ by Isaac Differding. The Canadian artist delivers a smooth yet electric sounding rendition with amazing use of the vocals and a big but not too big main break. It reminds me of the progressive house which came out of the old Orlando scene back in the mid-nineties. Great old school vibes here.

6. Sebastian Busto – Roots (Emi Galvin Remix) [Balkan Connection]

The latest from Balkan Connection finds Emi Galvin returning to the label with a great remix of Sebastian Buto. Fresh off a single for Baroque records earlier this year (complete with a Quivver remix) Emi continues on fine form bringing ‘Roots’ closer to the dance floor with a punchy, tightly wound groove, clap delays and a shimmering melodic top line. Gorgeous work.

7. Nicolas Petracca and Ezequiel Anile – Eternal Starfields [Suffused Music]

Frequent studio partners Nicolas Petracca and Ezequiel Anile make their debut on Lithuania’s Suffused Music this week with an excellent two track EP. Leading the way is ‘Eternal Starfields’, an eleven minute journey into spacey, tripped out progressive house with a rousing conclusion.

8. Sea Change – Stairs (Paul Hazendonk Remix) [Manual Music]

Paul Hazendonk comes up roses once again with a remix of ‘Stairs’ by Sea Change also known as Ellen Sunde. Courtesy of his own Manual Music imprint, this is deep, delicate and the vocals sound absolutely fabulous. Classy stuff from Paul.

9. Nicolas Ruiz – Glass Shatters (Robert R. Hardy Remix) [Superordinate Music]

Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren favourite Nicolas Ruiz makes his debut on UK imprint Superordinate this week with a great vocal production. Robert R. Hardy delivers a strong remix as usual, going deep and spacious while putting the vocals in an entirely different emotional context.

10. NikoChristo & Synas – Sativa (Nicholas Van Orton Remix) [Varona Label]

Balkan Connection South America boss Nicholas Van Orton makes his debut on Luis Kiverling’s Varona imprint this week with a signature style remix of Niko Christo & Synas. Deep, chunky and incredibly warm with a mystical vocal complement to boot/ Great stuff from the Argentinean favourite.

11. Feri – Aracari (Alex Vidal Remix) [Stellar Fountain]

An energetic, uplifting and playful romp of a remix from Spanish artist Alex Vidal shines on the newest release from Stellar Fountain. Add a soulful break into the storyboard and you’ve got a slice of old school heaven.
