Rauschhaus – Magnolia [Timeless Moment]
Highly touted German artist Rauschhaus makes his debut on Morttagua’s Timeless Moment imprint this week with Magnolia. Impeccably produced, it’s a journey through dark motifs early on, slowly shifting to something profoundly beautiful with melodious chord changes and gorgeous harmonics.
Sasch BBC & Caspar – Eschaaton (Kamilo Sanclemente Remix) [Manual Music]
One of this year’s hottest progressive house talents has been Colombia’s Kamilo Sanclemente. His tracks are tailor made for club play as his Beatport chart success certainly dictates. Debuting on Paul Hazendonk’s Manual Music this week he puts a deep, rolling and irresistibly dreamy touch on ‘Eschaaton’ by Sasch BBC & Caspar.
Madloch – Sagacity [Sound Avenue]
Sound Avenue boss Madloch returns to his home imprint this week with a brand new EP. The evolution of this Belgian artist continues with the title cut ‘Sagacity’. Murky and mysterious in equal measure the piece flows through atmospheric motifs and dreamy arps with an effortless ease. The first of two breaks serves as an energy bridge, bringing tougher percussion and a driving cadence, ultimately leading to a tension filled interlude and electric conclusion.
Analog Jungs – Storm (Li-Polymer ‘After the Storm’ Mix) [Balkan Connection]
Li-Polymer continues to deliver unique and inspiring music this week with a remix of Analog Jungs for Balkan Connection. The Portuguese artist retains the amazing feeling from the original and adds wonderfully to it with poignant tones and meditative qualities, all encased in an organic percussive wrap.
Lily Pita – I Believe [Soundteller Records]
Deersky’s Soundteller Records presented it’s Summer Sampler this week with 12 exclusive cuts from a wide range of artists. The talented Lily Pita stands out with her latest ‘I Believe’, a quirky, modern progressive cut that’s a strong follow-up to her appearance on John Digweed’s Frequencies collection.
Chris Cargo – 04:28 (Paul Hamilton Remix) [Clinique Recordings]
One of the comeback stories of the year continues with Chris Cargo making his debut on Clinique Recordings with ‘04.28’. The Paul Hamilton Remix which cloeses the release out is excellent as expected. The Maltese born, Dubai based producer is on form again with a super smooth, groovy interpretation. Paul’s sense of dance floor dynamics is evident on all his work and the subtle tension which builds during the break is further evidence of this. Really well crafted and intricately programmed for a killer drop.
Laurent Chanal – Blue [ICONYC]
ICONYC continues a wonderful summer run by welcoming Laurent Chanal to the label this week. The French artist has been in the game for over 20 years and he makes his ICONYC debut in style with ‘Blue’. Deliberate, driving and a touch techno inspired it’s got energy, emotion and an evolving soundscape that should win over your dance floor at peak time.
Dimuth K – Abyssal (Emi Galvan Remix) [Movement Recordings]
The latest from Tash’s Movement Recordings welcomes Sri Lankan artist Dimuth K to the label for his debut EP. On remix duty is the always excellent Emi Galvan who takes the lead cut into groovier more dance floor friendly territory. Anchored by beefy bass stabs and charged rhythms the piece moves with a vibrant energy as clap delays fade off in the distance. The main break is perhaps the emotional apex as gleaming motifs adorn the atmospherics, initiating a classy build, before a euphoric conclusion seals it’s brilliance.
Erich Von Kollar – End Of The Tunnel (Federico Monachesi Remix) [Stellar Fountain]
Stellar Fountain label boss Erich Von Kollar returns to his home imprint with ‘End Of The Tunnel’ this week. Argentinean artist Federico Monachesi always seems to pop up at exactly the right time, definitely doesn’t over produce and does just enough to keep a nice demand for his impeccable work. Here he closes the release out with a mix that conveys the feeling of the original really well and is bursting with vibrant qualities, not to mention a gorgeous, glowing breakdown.
Mariano Montori – Anxious (Paul Deep Remix) [Northern Lights Music]
K Nass’ Northern Lights Music returns in a big way this week with a fine EP from Mariano Montori. Argentinean artist Paul Deep hits his remix of the lead track ‘Anxious’ perfectly. Warm, rolling and with a great clap I might add, it’s the progressive sound of now and the standout on the release for us.
